Defining moments
Hi!
Did you know you have 1,440 minutes every single day? How many of them do you remember?
If you're like me, you find it easy to recall the milestone moments like your wedding day, the birth of a child, graduations, or the death of someone you love. But what about all the other moments?
This week, I experienced a wake-up call moment. Health is one of our most precious gifts, and mine shouted a reminder to never take that gift for granted. In the same way, you must never ignore the simple joys in life.
You can find happiness in the most unexpected places if you choose to look. I would love to hear about one of your moments —just respond to this email.
Let's make the most of our 1,440 minutes!
Inspiration worth sharing . . .
Defining moments endure in our memories. In a recent post, I described how Defining Moments Unlock the Secret of a Great Life.
Cesar Kuriyama records one second of his life every day. He realized that our lives consist of thousands of seconds filled with beautiful, funny, and sometimes tragic moments. Cesar explains the rationale in his TED Talk, "One second every day..." You can learn more about his project here.
I do believe a song exists to capture every moment in life. Most of the music from Jason Mraz focuses on positive messages. His Living in the Moment reminds me...
"I will not waste my days
Making up all kinds of ways
To worry about all the things
That will not happen to me"
Inspiring words . . .
“The only time you ever have in which to learn anything or see anything or feel anything, or express any feeling or emotion, or respond to an event, or grow, or heal, is this moment because this is the only moment any of us ever gets. You’re only here now; you’re only alive in this moment.”
~ Jon Kabat-Zinn
Be and become #yourbest today and every day.
With gratitude,
Kathryn
