Hope...
Hello friends,
As the last days of 2020 close—what a year, I cling to a phrase I came across this week:
Hope will not be canceled!
Indeed, with hope we “cherish a desire with anticipation.” The archaic definition describes hope as trust. I rather like the notion of trust.
Trust that the pandemic will end. Trust that we can make the world a better place. Trust that we can be and become so much more than we thought or imagined.
I don’t make New Year resolutions, but I align goals and actions with my core purpose. For 2021, I will hold hope like a magnifying glass. Seeking out hope with trust and anticipation in the obvious and perhaps hidden places.
Hidden Hopes
The vast landscape of the sea
Unwrapped hidden hopes in me.
Standing on the distant shore
Waves beckoned — opening the door
Quickening my hungry soul.

What hopes and dreams lie within reach for you today?
Inspiration worth sharing . . .
Every year, I choose one word that serves as a guide, an anchor, to keep me grounded in what matters. I wrote about it here.
Read the full article on hope from Jamie Tworkowski because “when things feel most uncertain and fear creeps in, we believe that is exactly when hope is needed most."
The winter solstice, the longest night of darkness for the year, also marks the turning back to longer days and toward the light. To celebrate the end of a year-long dark night of winter, listen to the Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun.
Inspiring words . . .
The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof.

Be and become #yourbest today and every day.
With gratitude,
Kathryn
