I have heard your father’s saying about so hit you can fry an egg — many times and I too have no idea if an egg would fry - ha! Another memory statement was “it is hotter than a road lizard”. Never knew the validity of that either - but - the idea of being very hit definitely comes with the saying. Enjoy the warmth of the summer and try some time in the shade with a glass of iced tea!
Thanks for letting me dream a bit, although my body has never been a fan of heat, I surely miss some warm and breezy summer evenings where I could sit outside till midnight. The nights in Ireland are quite cold, so thanks for warming me with your words. 💕
