Let's savor the moment
Have you ever had a moment that you didn’t want to end? You wanted to savor the experience, stretching it beyond time.
Walking in the mountains of Colorado, I suddenly stopped. I had never seen a view as vast, full of sky, mountains, and trees. My feet did not want to move from this worn path because if I did, the moment would be gone.
What if we lived every minute of every day enjoying the one thing we have without condition—this very moment?
The word “savor” showed up in my reading this week and being the word nerd that I am. I can’t stop enjoying its sound and meaning.
savor. transitive verb: to delight in
What moments will you savor today? The laugh of a child, the sunset, the smile from someone you love?
If you find yourself overwhelmed by shopping, baking, worries, fears, the remedy may be easier than you realize.
Savor the moment.
My thoughts on how to abandon time to find the present.
Savoring refers to the conscious enjoyment of that which gives you pleasure; that is, lingering over delightful experiences, swishing them around in our awareness like a glass of good wine.
I wish for you the peace that comes from savoring each moment. For the next couple of weeks, you’ll find me savoring yummy treats, and of course, the moments I have with those I love. But, I’ll show up in your inbox in the new year on January 8, 2022.
Thanks for reading. Feel free to forward this weekly note to someone who would enjoy a few words of inspiration. And I always welcome your thoughts, so you can…
