Have you ever wanted a few moments of silence? The cacophony in the stores and trying to remain six feet from another soul as I stood in line for longer than I wanted to buy a single item left me frazzled. Some people seem to ignite energy shopping for the “best” whatever. Not me. I prefer a gentle stroll in a quiet store with plenty of space.
I'm struck by several coincidences from the past two days. One is this lovely discussion on silence. Yesterday I was attending my weekly yoga class (so grateful to be able to do that again) and I was browsing their community library of free books. I found an old copy of 'Silence, The Power of Quiet in a World Full of Noise'. That led me to sit in the sunshine and meditate for the first time in a very long time. What a great reminder. Thanks for this.
Yes, I am always amazed at how the universe surprises us with unexpected connections. My reading and then life incidents brought silence into my awareness--and then, it seems my words connected to your life. Everything and all of us is connected in ways we often do not see or understand. I appreciate your comments and thank you for reading. Take care.
This is a great reminder to stop and be in the present moment. As a single mom of two toddlers I used to tell myself to stop everything and sit on the floor with them. It was hard, but it gave me moments...
I loved all of your shadow photos. And I loved and laughed at your reference to Dark Shadows. I was very hooked on this show. Watched every episode they made, most likely. I did find an episode in the last year while cruising the TV guide, so I took a look, and did laugh at how truly ridiculous the show was. Back then though, I took having to watch it very seriously.
I have my own library. I end up donating many books to libraries in my country. Can't get my kids to read. Lol. I collect first editions books among others. I too, love books.

I'm happy to be here, and especially glad to have discovered your article.

I’ve done the same. Sometimes you you just know when it is time to let one go to live in another heart.
Very good, Keep going! 👁🗨
