Mothering takes so many forms πŸ’• I love this piece, Kathryn. Taking time to honour the women in our lives is importantβ€”we can ignore the commercialisation and send gratitude, words and love instead πŸ’ thank you πŸ™

This is such a delightful view of mothers, Kathryn, your mother and grandma especially. I'm glad you were so nurtured by them, and it has stood you in good stead throughout your life. I lost my Mum six years ago now, and I still miss her every day. Our Mother's Day is in March over here in the UK, but I've read lots of blog posts talking about this occasion in other countries. We are so blessed if we have had a loving mother in our lives. I always knew my Mum loved me, even though she was mentally unwell and often in hospital. Nevertheless, in my eyes, she was a wonderful Mum.

Now I have two adult children, I'm fortunate enough to get cards from them both, although we don't overdo the present side, which doesn't bother me at all. It's more about love for each other rather than expensive gifts. I enjoy it if we go out for a meal together most of all. That way, I get time to spend with them, which is so valuable to me.

I tried to 'like' and comment on your last post here, and although I had subscribed to your site before, it kept insisting I do it again and again and again. I tried this, but it just wouldn't let me have access for some reason. However, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed that post, too. Xx πŸ’πŸ’•
