I welcome the fall as a chance to slow down and go inward.

Kathryn, this is a gorgeous account of your Fall (my Autumn). Your photos are absolutely stunning! It's difficult to pick out a favourite. The quotes you've chosen are very apt for the season, too. Do you use a 'proper' camera (if you know what I mean), or do you take photos on a phone? I'm sure these are too good to have been taken on a mobile phone, but I might be wrong - technology can do extraordinary things these days. Having said I couldn't pick out a favourite photo. I've opted for the red maple leaves and the sunset (your last photo). The colours have such rich depth to them. Thank you for sharing them with your readers. X 🌷

Ellie, I have been taking photos since I was a child with a small Kodak Brownie. I've only recently begun to use a "proper" camera, which has been an exciting and humbling experience. I'm learning. My phone often becomes my "proper" camera because it is the one in my hand. Some of my best photographs came out of whatever phone I had at the time. I've also learned how to take those photos into a digital darkroom. Most photos need a little help in revealing the vision you saw when you stood in awe of a sunset or a spider spinning its web. The world is full of amazing moments that bring me joy, but I do have to stop and look. Thanks for stopping by.
